Lecture & Award

Three papers will be selected by the organizing committee for the Best Young Researcher's Paper Award. If you wish to be considered, you must:

• 1) be below 35 years old as of 30th June 2022,
• 2) be the first author and presenter of a full paper, and
• 3) submit the nomination form to: EASEC-17@nus.edu.sg by May 1, 2022. Self-nomination is allowed.
  
  

The EASEC Young Researcher/Engineer Award is to be awarded to a young researcher/engineer (age below 35 years) from the Asia-Pacific region who has shown potential for great future achievements in the area of structural engineering and construction through research, development and/or practice. The award will be presented during EASEC-17, Singapore June 27–30, 2022.

The completed nomination form must be submitted via emails to: Dr. LAM Heung Fai (paullam@cityu.edu.hk) Secretary General of EASEC International Steering Committee by April 1, 2022.

The Nishino Medal: to be awarded at each future EASEC conference to a distinguished senior engineer who has been judged to have made internationally recognized contributions in the area of structural engineering and construction through research, development and/or professional practice in the Asia-Pacific region. The first awardee (2008) is Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Thailand.

The Nishino Prize: to be awarded concurrently at each future EASEC conference to a young engineer (age below 45 years) from the Asia-Pacific region who has made significant contributions and shown potential for great future achievements in the area of structural engineering and construction through research, development and/or practice. The first winners (2008) are Professor Xu Hui An, China and Mr. Chi-Heng Chiang, Chinese Taipei.

We hereby invite you to nominate suitable candidates with the appropriate qualifications for consideration for the above-described Medal and Prize. Each submission should be made using the nomination form (obtainable from EASEC-17 conference website) and shall be accompanied by the Curriculum vitae and related details of the candidate as well as the nominator. The medal and prize will be presented during EASEC-17, Singapore June 27-30, 2022.
